  • Elders Council: Next Webinar on Transition & Succession

After the wonderful song Changes, by David Bowie, we invite three extraordinary African women to reflect on transition and succession in their lives. More information below.

When: June 21st 17:00 -18:00 (CEST)

 

  • EU Policy Workshop: How to work with the EU and advocate for change

This workshop will help you navigate the EU’s policymaking and the different players in the ecosystem, as well as cover the basics of how to develop an EU advocacy roadmap. Last day to apply is June 18. More information below.

When: Friday June 25th, at 2.00 - 5.00 pm (CEST)

 

  • New Program Launch: Weaving for a Thriving Planet

Ashoka Europe Fellowship Program and Next Now’s program Weaving for a Thriving Planet is launching their collective initiative focusing on the transformation of bioregions into thriving ecosystems & communities to preserve biodiversity. More information below.

When: June 24th, 4 - 5:30 p.m. (CET)

Elders Council: Next Webinar on Transition & Succession

After the wonderful song Changes, by David Bowie, we invite three extraordinary African women to reflect on transition and succession in their lives: Angela Benson, from Liberia, Salamatu Garba from Nigeria and Mahali Hlasa from Lesotho. Each will reflect upon the next steps they are thinking about as they each consider the transition pathway and a variety of options for succession.

Have you ever wanted to advocate for change at the EU level, but you do not know where to start? This workshop developed by Hello Europe will help you navigate the EU’s policymaking and the different players in the ecosystem, as well as cover the basics of how to develop an EU advocacy roadmap. The 3 hours workshop will be held by Laura Batalla, Hello Europe’s Policy Unit Leader.

New Initiative Launch: Weaving for a Thriving Planet

Ashoka Europe Fellowship Program and Next Now’s program Weaving for a Thriving Planet is launching their collective initiative, co-created with Ashoka Fellows and partners focusing on the transformation of bioregions into thriving ecosystems & communities to preserve biodiversity. The program aims to do this by setting up Bioregional Weaving Labs that will support and facilitate scaling and replication of the most impactful system changing entrepreneurial solutions, while mobilizing millions of changemakers. In Case You Missed It: What is a furniture company’s role in social change?

Steelcase, Ashoka Europe Fellowship Program partner, is the leading manufacturer of furniture for offices, hospitals, and classrooms. While Steelcase uses innovative research to design workspaces, the company’s take on innovation goes far beyond furniture. We met with Serena Borghero, Director Media Relations EMEA at Steelcase, to share insights for how businesses can play a role in social impact.

Reflecting After World Ocean Day: Scaling Impact Through the Sea Ranger Service

Ashoka Fellow and participant of the Dela programme, Wietse Van Der Werf, shares in this video how IKEA co-workers have supported Sea Ranger Service team to scale their impact. This short-film, created by Ashoka partner IKEA Social Entrepreneurship, shows us how collaborative approaches are the way forward.

Join the Ashoka Visionary Program in the Mediterranean and in CEE!

The Ashoka Visionary Program is a part-time executive program for decision makers in the private and the public sector dealing with social innovations as well as social entrepreneurs. The program enables participants to gain the skills needed to master both entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial challenges and to generate social impact. Deadline to apply is July 31.

Module Dates:

  • the VP CEE - 21 October 2021
  • the VP MED  - 2 December 2021

Join The Monthly Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Town Halls

These town halls are one-hour spaces hosted by Ashoka Fellow Dr. Emilia Roig where ALL Ashoka colleagues are invited to come and reflect together about DEI issues in, and beyond the workplace. The sessions are designed for a maximum of 30 people, and will be first come, first serve.
