What is this module all about?
This module seeks to help those involved in social impact work to design specific metrics and frameworks to evaluate their impact in terms of changes in systems and collective mindset. Based on the experience developed by Alessandro Valera, Founder of the Ashoka Global Impact and Evidence Unit and Alexandra Ioan, Founder of the Ashoka Learning and Action Centre, this module will provide conceptual frameworks, as well as practical tools to design the best suited impact model and choose the most relevant indicators to assess whether and how impact can be achieved beyond direct service. This module is a response to the growing demand from social entrepreneurs, CSOs, companies, and young people to be able to better grasp the impact of their work with systems change and framework change lenses. The module will be highly interactive and participatory, starting from best practices in academic and practitioner research and building upon a variety of social impact initiatives on the ground.
