Gender Equity Gathering in Warsaw

Last week, we met in Warsaw, Poland, with a group of Ashoka Fellows and social entrepreneurs working in the field of Gender Equity with the aim to join our voices and craft new shared narratives to generate mindset shifts and systemic change in the field. After two days full of reflections, empathetic discussions, laughs, and questioning of the current systems, we aligned on a MANIFESTO that encompasses the values, qualities, and beliefs that should be driving our society. Stay tuned for its release!

Place of Pride: Designing inclusive spaces

Our long-time partner Steelcase collaborates with the Special Olympics Michigan to create spaces designed for a first-of-its-kind inclusion center. The project included a wide range of perspectives, experiences and types of disabilities and it make a difference for the people who use the space and in the surrounding community, what’s being learned will be able to be applied to any organization working with Steelcase or the center’s non-profits moving forward.

Future of Business: An Intercompany Course for Changemakers

Ashoka Changemakers and Changemaker Companies have created a six-week online course: Future of Business: An Inter-company Course for Changemakers. This learning experience, offered to Ashoka's corporate partners, is intended to train professionals on the foundations of social impact, while offering an intelligible understanding of the role of corporations in building sustainable systems.
