We are on a mission to enable co-learning experiences for our community to learn and embody changemaking as an approach to social change. Together, we facilitate and co-create collaborative spaces with key ecosystem actors to practice changemaking and to advance their work towards an Everyone a Changemaker world- a world where every individual masters the skills of leadership, systems change strategy approaches, DEI and wellbeing and where everyone has the ability to identify social problems and create positive change.

We believe that without a robust emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion, changemaking risks becoming a skillset and mindset reserved for the privileged few — contributing to a new inequality (much like the digital divide) between those who have time and space and support to be changemakers and those who do not.

Changemaker Finance is about empowering social entrepreneurs to re-think and develop current and new funding strategies.

In our 4th edition, we aim to activate Ashoka’s network to co-create collective funding mechanisms that support social entrepreneurs in creating an Everyone a Changemaker world and ensure our community has access to financing knowledge, and can navigate easily around the offerings provided by Ashoka & partners.

The Ashoka Visionary Program- East Africa

The Ashoka Visionary Program offers you the opportunity to take your know-how, change-making skills, and network to another level. Our part-time, offline executive program enables interaction over 9 months with Ashoka Fellows and leaders in the private, the public, and the non-profit sector in an exchange of experiences and expertise. The program consists of 7 modules covering all topics relevant to social innovation and leadership, such as scaling, business modeling, co-creation, managing organizations, marketing, and more.

Global Volunteer Hub: Share your volunteer needs with Steelcase

Our long-time partner Steelcase launches a new Global Volunteer Hub for Steelcase employees to practice volunteering in their communities. If you are an Ashoka community member and have volunteer needs in your organization, both soon or throughout the year, share them with Steelcase by filling out this form. They will promote your needs on their Global Volunteer Hub for employees to sign-up, starting in September.

Future of Business: An Intercompany Course for Changemakers

Ashoka Changemakers and Changemaker Companies have created a six-week online course: Future of Business: An Inter-company Course for Changemakers. This learning experience, offered to Ashoka's corporate partners, is intended to train professionals on the foundations of social impact, while offering an intelligible understanding of the role of corporations in building sustainable systems.

The Elders Council for Social Entrepreneurs hosted another fascinating webinar asking "Hero culture damaging the social sector?"

How social entrepreneurs come to be labelled as 'heroes'; how this affects their wellbeing; that it’s organisations, networks and movements (not lone 'heroes') that create systems change and the importance of rrecognizing and empowering others are just some of the points covered.
